LANSING, MI — An Ohio woman will be arraigned March 31 on charges of leaving threatening and racist voicemails for state Representative Sarah Anthony of Lansing.
Attorney General Dana Nessel says 58-year-old Sandra Bachman of Batavia, Ohio, faces a 20-year felony for threat of terrorism. The accused left the racist death threat for Anthony in May 2021 and another for state Representative Cynthia Johnson in June 2021.
Anthony, a Democrat representing the 68th House District in Lansing, has not publicly commented on the threat against her or the new charges.
