KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Police have now released the names of those involved in a fatal accident in Kalamazoo County’s Ross Township last Friday morning.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department says 54-year-old Denise Marie Sheeders of Battle Creek was killed after her vehicle was struck head-on by another vehicle that crossed the centerline in slippery road conditions.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department says the accident happened shortly before 9:00 a.m. Friday in the 15000 block of Dickman Road (M-96) in Ross Township. When officers arrived on scene they determined 29-year-old Christopher Ryan Kline of Kalamazoo was traveling westbound on Dickman Road when he lost control of his vehicle due to the icy roads. After losing control, Kline’s vehicle crossed the centerline and hit Sheeders’ eastbound vehicle head-on.
Sheeders was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kline suffered minor injuries but refused medical treatment from EMS at the accident scene. Police say alcohol and/or drugs were not a factor in the accident.

The accident remains under investigation.
