ALLEGAN COUNTY, MI (WKZO-AM/FM) – The search continues for a 13-year-old Allegan County boy who hasn’t been heard from by family members since last Wednesday, but the vehicle he had been last seen driving off in has been spotted.
According to the Allegan County Sheriff’s Department, Zander Canales was last seen driving away from his Valley Township residence in his father’s 2006 Chrysler 300. The cream colored sedan with plenty of chrome, an eagle on the front grill, and a cross sticker on the trunk hood was spotted in the city of Holland, where family members believe that the teen may be with some unknown friends. A citizen notified authorities of the whereabouts of the vehicle, but the youngster is still at large, and County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Brett Ensfield said in a department update that deputies and detectives “are still actively following up on tips on locating Zander.”
Anyone who may have seen Canales or know where he may be is asked to contact Allegan County Central Dispatch (269-673-3899) or Allegan County Silent Observer (800-554-3633).
