VIENNA (Reuters) – Austria is classifying Britain, Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway as risk areas due to the prevalence of the Omicron variant, meaning arrivals from there must go into quarantine if they have not had a booster shot, an official said on Wednesday.
Those with a booster shot will also have to show a recent negative PCR test to avoid quarantine, the official, COVID-19 coordinator Katharina Reich, told a news conference. Austria is also introducing an earlier closing time of 10 p.m. in the hospitality sector as of Dec. 27, including Dec. 31, she said.
