The Mattawan Consolidated School District announced Sunday night all schools will be closed Monday and Tuesday due to alleged threats.
WWMT-TV reports that in a letter to families around 7:00 p.m. Sunday, Superintendent Randy Fleenor said the district learned of alleged threats against the high school.
The district then notified law enforcement, which began an investigation.
The letter did not mention the nature of the alleged threats.
Fleenor said as a precaution, all schools in the district are closed Monday and Tuesday.
Tuesday was originally scheduled to be a half day.
