CHARLESTON TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) – A 31 year old Battle Creek man was killed Sunday morning in a one-car accident near Galesburg.
Michigan State Police troopers were called to the scene of an accident on eastbound 94 around 1:45 a.m., near mile marker 90.
They discovered that a Ford car had apparently lost control and crashed.
Deandre Miller, the driver of the vehicle, died at the scene despite efforts to save him.
A female passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Ascension Borgess in Kalamazoo for treatment.
Authorities suspect that alcohol may have been a factor in the incident, and reported that Miller was not wearing his seat belt.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Galesburg-Charleston fire department.
The accident remains under investigation.
