HOWARD TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Cass County deputies say that alcohol was a likely factor in a personal injury crash occurring in Howard Township on Saturday.
It happened around 11:40 p.m. at the intersection of M-51 and Warren Road.
Investigation shows that 20-year-old Niles resident, Evan Omalley was traveling south bound on M-51, when his vehicle left the roadway, struck a guardrail, and landed on its side.
Omalley was extricated from his vehicle by the Howard Township Fire Department, and was transported to Lakeland Niles Hospital for injuries sustained during the accident.
Authorities say seatbelts were worn and that alcohol appeared to be a factor in the crash.
