KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Western Michigan University has announced home game times and the broadcast schedule for the upcoming 2021-22 men’s basketball season. All game dates and times are subject to change.
The Broncos are set to take the floor at University Arena 14 times during the regular season, which begins on Wednesday, November 10, at 7 pm against Hope College. All weekday home games are slated for 7 pm starts, with the exception of the regular-season finale on Friday, March 4 against Ball State. That evening, the Broncos and Cardinals will tip off at 6 pm.
WMU’s weekend home tilts, except the Saturday, Jan. 1, game against Ohio, are slated to begin at 2 pm. The New Year’s Day contest against the Bobcats is set for 3:30 pm, following the Western Michigan women’s team taking on Kent State at 1 pm.
All of Western Michigan’s home games are scheduled to be broadcast on either ESPN3 or ESPN+. Additionally, the new flagship station of the Bronco Radio Network, WVFM 106.5, is slated to carry all 31 Western Michigan men’s basketball games this season.
WMU is also scheduled to be featured on national television a few times during non-conference play. The Broncos’ trips to Michigan State (Nov. 12) and Iowa (Nov. 22) are set to air on Big Ten Network, while the contest at Notre Dame (Dec. 20) will be on ACC Network.
In their final tune-up before regular season play, the Broncos take on Kalamazoo College in an exhibition game at University Arena on Saturday, Nov. 6. Tip-off is set for 1 pm.
