KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Rocket Fizz, a shop known for its selection of novelty candy and soft drinks, will be operating a Pop-Up Holiday Toy Store for the holidays.
The pop-up location will be held on the Kalamazoo Mall in the former AT&T space at 125 South Kalamazoo Mall.
Shop owners Tom and Heather Holmer say they are excited for this new venture.
“There are so many toys and gifts that are available to us through our vendors that we just don’t have the room to carry in our candy shop,” co-owner Tom Holmer said in a statement. “With the concerns over supply chains and logistics this year, we feel like we can help folks fulfil their holiday wish-lists and have a little fun along the way.”
The toy store will feature many classic and retro toys, along with more modern and educational toys as well.
“One of the best parts of the candy store is watching parents and grandparents bond with the little ones over the candies of their youth,” Holmer said. “We feel like we can bring that same energy with toys, combined with all the whimsy and never-ending streams of Dad jokes that Rocket Fizz is known for.”
The store is scheduled to open on Black Friday and operate Thursday through Sunday through the end of the year.
