BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – After serving as the Lakeview School District’s Superintendent for almost four years, Blake Prewitt has decided to move on.
Prewitt announced Thursday he has accepted a position as superintendent of the Newaygo County Regional Educational Service Agency and that his first day on the job will be January 1.
Prewitt previously served as the Superintendent of Ferndale Schools before he came to Lakeview.
He said in a news release, “Lakeview School District has an exceptional Board and staff, which made this a difficult decision. I look forward to the opportunity to serve the students and educators of Michigan at the county level.”
Board President Eric Greene said they were grateful for the leadership and expertise that Prewitt provided and they wished him success in his next endeavor.
