BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The former supervisor of Pennfield Township entered a no contest plea to a charge of stalking on Monday in Calhoun County Circuit Court, one day before he was scheduled to go on trial.
61-year-old Rob Behnke is scheduled to be sentenced on November 22.
As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors will dismiss a felony count of using a computer to commit a crime.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports the plea agreement includes no jail time for Behnke but he could be placed on probation for up to five years.
Behnke served as the Pennfield Township supervisor for two decades.
He was charged 14 months ago after a former girlfriend claimed Behnke harassed her for three years.
