ALLEGAN MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Allegan County authorities have released the name of the man who drowned Saturday at Saugatuck Dunes State Park.
30-year-old Ryan Harms of Peoria, Illinois, had been in Lake Michigan by himself for about 20 minutes, when his friends went to get help to locate him.
Harms was located and brought to shore, and resuscitation efforts were started.
Harms was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by the Allegan County Marine Division, Graafschap Fire Dept., and the Dept. of Natural Resources.
