WAYLAND, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Two West Michigan first responder departments have received federal funding for improving safety and operations.
The Comstock Township Fire Department will receive almost $35,000, while the Wayland Area Ambulance Service will get over $174,000.
US Senators Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters made the announcement about the awards in a release Friday, saying that it is imperative that first responders and firefighters get the necessary funds to continue their vital work.
