CLARENCE TOWNSHIP, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A 23-year-old woman was killed Wednesday night in a fiery crash near Albion.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department says it happened just before 9:00 p.m. on 28 Mile Road near M Drive North in Clarence Township.
Deputies found the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived.
They were told by witnesses there was a single occupant inside.
The driver, identified as a Sheridan Township resident, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Albion Department of Public Safety and the Springport/Clarence Township Fire Department.
