BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Battle Creek Police are seeking information on a man who robbed the PNC Bank on Capital Avenue SW this morning.
It’s believed he got away with a large amount of cash.
Police say the robbery was reported at 10:43 a.m. after a man came into the bank acting like he wanted to open an account. After some time, he showed a handgun, and took cash from several bank tellers.
Police arrived withing minutes of being alerted by the staff of the bank during and after the robbery.
The man was last seen running south from the bank, through the parking lot of a nearby business plaza.
Detectives were searching the area for additional surveillance video, to see if he got into a vehicle.
The man wore sunglasses and a mask, and appears to be middle-aged and white. The FBI is assisting Battle Creek Police.
