MASON, MI — Mason Police Department’s K9 Tamarack is sporting a new vest that will keep him safer as he performs his duties as a police K9 officer. Mason city officials say Tamarack has received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from a non-profit organization called Vested Interest in K9s.
Tamarack’s vest, which is embroidered with the sentiment “Born to Love-Trained to Serve-Loyal Always,” has a value of approximately $2,000 and weighs about five pounds, according to a release from the city of Mason.
