LANSING MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The State Board of Education has weighed in on the topic of masks in schools.
Board members voted Wednesday to allow individual school districts to make “scientifically informed decisions” regarding masks.
Those in favor of the resolution stated that they approve of the rights of each district to make that decision.
Governor Whitmer has already said she will not require masks in schools as she did last school year.
Kalamazoo County Health Director Jim Rutherford has said that his department has the ability to require masks if the situation deems it necessary.
