EAST LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Monday is the opening day for fall high school sports practice in Michigan.
Teams participating in all nine sports for which the Michigan High School Athletic Association sponsors postseason tournaments will return to traditional schedules and M.H.S.A.A. tournament formats after the COVID-19 pandemic led to numerous adjustments in 2020.
Sports beginning Monday include football, boys soccer, boys and girls cross country, girls swimming and diving, girls tennis, volleyball, and girls golf. In the Upper Peninsula, girls tennis also plays in the fall.
