The Beef Checkoff turns 35 this summer.
The promotion and research program managed by the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association has improved beef quality and increased consumer confidence by ensuring U.S. beef is produced under stringent animal care standards to provide a safe, high-quality product. The BQA program trains farmers and ranchers on best practices and cattle management techniques to ensure their animals and the environment are cared for within a set of guidelines industry-wide.
Over 85 percent of today’s beef supply comes from a BQA certified farm operation, a tribute to the effectiveness of this three decade old effort.
