COMSTOCK PARK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Good pitching dominated Wednesday night’s game between the Whitecaps and Fort Wayne TinCaps, as West Michigan fell 2-1 at LMCU Ballpark.
Fort Wayne starter and knuckleballer Matt Waldron (3-4) was outstanding, going eight scoreless frames while striking out eight in his third win.
Whitecaps starting pitcher Adam Wolf also had a good start, throwing five shutout innings.
The Whitecaps continue this seven-game series against the Fort Wayne TinCaps with a Thursday doubleheader from LMCU Ballpark at 6:05 pm.
