KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Starting Thursday, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park in Kalamazoo will be closed for renovations, according to an announcement by the city Wednesday.
The city provided the following statement –
“Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park will be temporarily closed starting tomorrow, Thursday, July 1 while we make some improvements to the park.
When its finished in about four weeks, the park will have repaired sidewalks and walkways, more trees, new benches and trash cans, and upgraded electrical.
In the meantime, Farrel Park is a wonderful park to explore just a few blocks north on Rose Street!”
