Prospects look bright for U.S. agriculture commodities this year. That’s according to Deputy Ag Secretary Jewell Bronaugh who’s watching trends of exports.
So far, quarterly farm exports are forecast to be $164 billion which is 21% over last year showing strong resilience despite the pandemic. She says certainty and reliability in the United States is especially strong and that’s showing up regarding trade with China in corn, soybeans, sorghum as well as beef and pork.
Bronaugh says the picture looks bright as well for Canada, Mexico, and Japan along with the European Union.
