CASSOPOLIS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A two-vehicle crash in Cass County sent five children to the hospital on Saturday.
It happened around 12:35 p.m. at the intersection of Dailey Road and Peavine Street in La Grange Township.
Deputies say the five children were in the vehicle driven by 32-year-old Mary Eby of Cassopolis, who was traveling westbound when she failed to stop at an intersection, striking a southbound vehicle driven by 30-year-old Stephanie Robertz of Westminster Colorado.
Eby’s children were taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Robertz, and her husband Eric who were in the southbound vehicle, were not injured in the crash.
Authorities say that seat belts and car seats were used and that alcohol and narcotics were not factors in the crash.
