MARSHALL MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Marshall Historical Museum, located at the GAR Hall, 402 E Michigan Ave, will open its doors on Saturday, May 8th, and will feature an exhibit that spotlights the life and accomplishments of Harold C Brooks.
Brooks, who is considered Marshall’s leading citizen of the 1900s, started the historic preservation effort in the city, and also spearheaded the drive to save the Honolulu House.
Brooks also led the effort to construct the current Oaklawn Hospital building, and donated the land for the city’s airport.
The museum is open on weekends only, from 10 am to 4 pm, with adult admission $10, and those 12 and under free.
