BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Battle Creek’s Binder Park Zoo opened for the first time in 2021 on Saturday, May 1st.
President and CEO Diane Thompson said it had been a very long winter, but they were very excited to have people back in the park.
After a one-year hiatus, the zoo’s carousel re-opened with social distancing measures in place.
Zoo officials also say that three Mexican gray wolves had moved into the zoo’s North American section making it the second largest habitat at the park, along with another surprise, “Zoorassic Park,” due to replace the Miller Children’s Zoo which was expected to open by late June.
