HOWARD TWP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Cass County Police are investigating a single vehicle crash that sent one person to the hospital shortly after midnight on Saturday.
Responders were called out the crash site on Huntly Road near the intersection of Greenfield Avenue in Howard Township around 12:30 a.m.
Authorities say the driver, a 28-year-old male from North Dakota, was traveling eastbound on Huntly Road when he left the road, hit a sign, and collided into a tree.
The victim was taken by ambulance to South Bend Memorial Hospital.
Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the crash, and that the driver was wearing his seatbelt according police.
