BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be resurfacing 2.8 miles of M-96 (Columbia Avenue) from Helmer Road to Tyler Street in Battle Creek starting Monday, April 26.
The $1.4 million investment includes asphalt repaving, sidewalk ramp upgrades, and pavement markings.
Officials say the new pavement will improve safety and ride quality for motorists, and the sidewalk upgrades will improve safety and accessibility for pedestrians.
Drivers should expect single-lane closures on eastbound and westbound M-96.
