CASSOPOLIS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Cass County deputies are investigating a single-vehicle accident injuring one on Saturday, April 25th.
Police were called out to the crash on O’keefe Road north of Dutch Settlement Street in Wayne Township around 2:15 p.m.
Investigators say a 19-year-old male from Dowagiac was driving north on O’keefe Road when his passenger, a 17-year-old female from Bronson, grabbed the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to run off the roadway striking a tree.
The passenger sustained minor injuries and was taken to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowogiac.
Investigators say that seatbelts were worn, and that alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
