PORTAGE MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The CEO of Pfizer says that you should be prepared to get a COVID-19 booster shot each year, not unlike what happens with the annual flu shot.
Albert Bourla said that the yearly booster would be necessary due to the variants of the coronavirus, several of which are already popping up around the world.
Local health officials say that until herd immunity levels are reached, the virus is not going away, and that the booster shot would most likely be given 6 months to a year after the initial vaccine.
