BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Calhoun County Prosecutors have issued a 10-count warrant for a 32-year-old Battle Creek man. He’s accused of threatening his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend with a gun and firing gunshots at her home last week.
Authorities say the suspect came to a home in the 100 block of Battle Creek Avenue Friday evening. After an argument escalated, the suspect showed a gun before leaving. About four hours later, the couple said five to seven gunshots were fired at the house. Four people were inside but no one was hurt.
Battle Creek police found a 9 mm shell casing in the street and police said one of the bullets struck a natural gas meter but there was no fire.
The suspect’s name has not been released.
