BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Two men were arrested Sunday by Battle Creek Police during a reported road rage incident which involved a gun being pulled at one point.
Police say the initial incident began on eastbound I-94 with a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed cutting in and out of traffic.
The vehicle cut off another driver who then began following the vehicle to obtain a license plate.
Both vehicles eventually wound up on Beckley Road during which police say the driver of the suspect vehicle pointed a gun at the driver of the second vehicle.
Both vehicles turned around prior to M-66 and headed west on Beckley Road before turning north onto Riverside Drive.
The driver of the second vehicle managed to call 911 and continue to follow the suspect vehicle to Columbia Avenue.
Officers that were in the area were able to get the suspect vehicle stopped. Two male occupants were taken into custody on weapon charges. Police say the passenger had a handgun in his possession.
