PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Authorities in Calhoun County say two small children were removed from a home this week in Pennfield Township. It happened after it was discovered they were living in unsafe conditions, due to drugs and weapons at the property.
On Thursday, deputies received information about drug activity at a home in the 200 block of Adaline Ave.. A search warrant was executed and led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine, stolen property, and multiple firearms.
Child Protective Services assisted in removing the children and a 38-year-old Pennfield Township woman was arrested for unrelated warrants.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests could be made.
