Americans in general are being described as positive about farmers and their food supply.
Commissioned by the United Soybean Board, a new survey shows the dependability of U-S producers who nourish the world hasn’t gone unnoticed. When it came to ensuring a food product’s safety, 78 percent placed growers in the highest ranking. Seventy-nine percent of respondents offered a somewhat or very positive view of farmers while seven in ten said it was either somewhat or very important to buy food made with American-grown crops.
The board says there’s still some work to be done though, as less than half were aware soybeans used to make some of their favorite products are sustainably grown.
