KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Three players in double figures and a double-double for sophomore Titus Wright wasn’t enough as the Western Michigan University men’s basketball team fell to Miami, 74-66 Wednesday afternoon inside University Arena.
For the ninth time this season the Broncos had three players score in double figures as sophomore B. Artis White led the way with 20 points, matching his career-high. It’s the third game this season White has scored 20 points to go along with his 15th double-digit scoring game.
White was 7-of-15 from the field against Miami while knocking down a career-high six three-pointers. The sophomore guard also had seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in 30 minutes.
Following White was senior forward Greg Lee with 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field. Lee scored in double figures for the 11th time this season while also registering three rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Rounding out the double-digit scoring was sophomore Titus Wright who recorded his third double-double of the season and first since December 12 against Detroit Mercy. Wright had 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field to go along with 10 rebounds, three of which came on the offensive glass.
With the loss WMU now has an overall record of 4-14 and 3-10 in Mid-American Conference play. It will be a quick turnaround for the Broncos who travel to MAC leading Toledo Saturday. Tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m. inside Savage Arena.
