WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. inflation was in “good shape” now and is likely to move higher this year, St. Louis Fed president James Bullard told CNBC in an interview on Tuesday.
Bullard also noted recent volatility in the markets but said it appeared to be normal trading, not a bubble, telling CNBC: “You do see speculative frenzies from time to time in markets, and that’s part of the process.”
