DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Pistons are parting ways with Derrick Rose. ESPN reports they’ve traded the veteran guard to the Now York Knicks for guard Dennis Smith Jr. and a 2021 second-round draft pick.
Rose will be reunited with former Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau in New York.
The Pistons return to the hardwood tomorrow night at home against the Nets. Detroit has dropped four straight, all on the road, and is just 5-and-18 on the season.
Brooklyn, featuring the trio of Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving is 14-and-11.
