LAWRENCE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) [UPDATE 11:30am Mon 1/18/21] — Authorities have released more information about the discovery of a man missing since October. The Van Buren County Sheriff’s office says the remains of 45-year-old Jimmy Green of Parchment were found in a wooded area near Lawrence. Deputies say there is no evidence of foul play and that they are waiting on results of an autopsy to determine his cause of death.

A man from Parchment who went missing in October of last year was reportedly found dead over the weekend.
45-year-old Jimmy Green, who most recently had been living in Van Buren County, was last seen in the Lawrence area while working with a friend. He apparently walked away suddenly while doing yard work. He later was observed walking behind the Lawrence post office near some railroad tracks and hadn’t been seen or heard from since.
No details have been released at this time regarding the circumstances of his death or exactly where the body was found. We will provide updates when they are made available.
