KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is asking for the public’s help in locating a Kalamazoo man who is wanted in the death of his six-year-old stepson.
Latravion Heard McMillon faces charges of felony murder and first degree child abuse.
KDPS Captain Craig Habel says Jaylen Worthington died December 23 due to complications from trauma.
On December 14, Worthington was admitted to Bronson Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Detectives were called to the hospital and began conducting an investigation. The investigation found the child’s injuries were a result of child abuse.
Detectives determined that the injuries were caused by Heard McMillion, who was Worthington’s step-father.
The Kalamazoo County Prosecutor’s Office issued a warrant for McMillon December 24.
