LANSING, MI — The first shipments of Pfizer’s vaccine for COVID-19 have begun departing from Lansing’s Capital Region International Airport. Those vaccine shipments came from Pfizer’s manufacturing facility in Kalamazoo.
Under its contract with the federal government, Pfizer will provide 100-million doses of the vaccine by next March. Most of the shipments will travel through the Lansing airport, which is located northwest of the city.
The FDA gave final approval for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine late Friday.
