LEROY TOWNSHIP, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – The Michigan State Police at Marshall say a suspect is in custody following numerous vehicle larcenies last week in Leroy Township.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports a suspect vehicle was also found and Troopers were getting warrants to see if any stolen items were inside.
The State Police say most of the thefts took place between Thursday and Saturday during the hours of darkness.
Troopers say it appeared unlocked vehicles were entered and many items of value were stolen.
The State Police reminds everyone that the simple act of removing valuable items from your car and locking it when not in use, drastically reduces the possibility of your items or vehicle being stolen.
