CALVIN TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a Calvin Township man was injured by a falling tree Sunday.
Just before six p.m., deputies were called to assist Penn Township Fire on the injury report. Police say 40-year-old Ro-Mell Dungey was trying to remove trees on his property when one of the trees fell on top of him.
His 14-year-old son managed to remove the tree and then went to find help.
Fire and EMS personnel extricated Ro-Mell from the woods, and Medflight transported him to South Bend Memorial Hospital in Indiana.
His current condition was not immediately made known.
