CHARLOTTE, NC (WKZO AM/FM) – The Carolina Panthers held the Detroit Lions to just 185 yards of offense in a 20-0 win in Charlotte Sunday.
P.J. Walker threw two interceptions, but passed for 258 yards and a score as Carolina snapped a five-game losing streak. Mike Davis added 64 yards and a TD on the ground as the Panthers improved to 4-and-7.
Matthew Stafford was 18-of-33 for 178 yards and no picks, but was sacked five times as Detroit dropped to 4-and-6. The Lions managed just 40 yards rushing and 10 first downs in defeat.
It was the first time Detroit has been shut out since October 2009.
The Lions have lost three-of-four to fall to 4-and-6. They host Houston on Thanksgiving.
