Politicians, reporters, scientists some members of the clergy – Americans seem to have little trouble expressing their disagreements with some of them for various reasons. But when it comes to agricultural producers’ sustainability practices an overwhelming majority say they like what they see. A new public opinion poll taken by the American Farm Bureau Federation finds 58 percent across a range of demographic groups give a thumbs up to farmers and ranchers. This approval level has grown four percent over a survey done earlier in the year. Data showing producers have put more than 140 million acres of land into conservation programs also impressed respondents in the survey conducted in October.
