PAW PAW, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Tuesday, the Paw Paw police department announced that it is seeking help from the public in identifying suspects involved in a robbery.
The department says the robbery took place on Friday, October 23 around 7 p.m. at the Paw Paw AT&T store.
Three males rushed into the store, past the employee on duty and to a back room. The suspects were wearing heavy clothing, masks and appeared to be carrying blue backpacks.
They began stealing items from the store and forced the employee to open a secure area, where they stole a substantial number of devices and cash. They had arrived and left in a stolen Chevrolet Equinox, which was later recovered.
No injuries were reported in this incident. It was reported that a gun was seen in the waistband of one suspect, but was not used in the robbery.
