DETROIT, MI — The race for the U.S. Senate this morning is led by Republican challenger John James over U.S. Senator Gary Peters. While James had a ten-point lead early this morning, many absentee ballots remain to be counted. In fact, a third of Wayne County votes remain to be counted.
James thanked his supporters early this morning, saying “we are not going to go to sleep on Michigan.” James is trying to be the first Republican elected to the Senate is a quarter-century in Michigan.
