KALAMAZOO AND BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Wednesday, Governor Gretchen Whitmer will make two stops in Southwest Michigan, including Kalamazoo and Battle Creek.
The purpose of these visits is to announce her endorsement of candidates for the Michigan House of Representatives. She will join State Rep. Jim Haadsma and County Commissioner Christine Morse at canvass kickoff events in their respective districts.
At 11 a.m., Whitmer will stop in Battle Creek at the Bailey Park Pavillion, where she will be joined by Haadsma. He is a candidate for House District 62.
At 1 p.m., Whitmer will make an additional stop in Kalamazoo at the Texas Township Farmers’ Market, where she will be joined by Morse, a candidate for House District 61.
The news of Whitmer’s visits come after similar stops by Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist, who visited Kalamazoo last Friday. During those events, Gilchrist also endorsed Haadsma and Morse.
I’m sad now. Could’ve met governor Whitmer if I didnt have chemistry class at 1 PM 🙁
