BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A 54-year-old woman from Battle Creek has died after her motorcycle was struck by a vehicle near Burlington.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department says it happened at about 4:25 p.m. at M-60 and 10 ½ Mile Road.
Witnesses report the motorcycle was traveling east on M-60 when a vehicle pulled in front of it, causing the accident.
The injured woman was taken to Oaklawn Hospital with life-threatening injuries and later passed. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
The accident is being investigated by the Calhoun County Reconstruction Team.
Deputies were assisted by the Burlington Township Fire Department, MDOT, Marshall Area Fire Fighters Ambulance Authority and a few Calhoun County private citizens. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office at 269-781-0880 or Silent Observer at 269-964-3888.
