BATTLE CREEK/KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist is making stops in Southwest Michigan.
He will visit Battle Creek and Kalamazoo on Friday to endorse State Representative Jim Haadsma for House District 62 and Christine Morse for House District 61 at their canvass kickoff events.
The Lieutenant Governor will be at Haadsma’s event beginning at 10:55 a.m. It will take place at Second Missionary Baptist Church on North Washington Avenue, south of West Goodale Avenue in Battle Creek. More on Haadsma’s canvas kickoff can be found here.
He will then head west to Kalamazoo to endorse Morse at her event at 12:30 p.m. The canvass kickoff will be at the Oshtemo branch of the Kalamazoo Public Library on West Main Street, west of North 8th Street. More on Morse’s event can be found here.
Both say they will be socially-distanced, contactless canvass events. Morse’s Facebook event states that COVID-19 checks, hand sanitizer, masks, and gloves will be provided.
