ALLEN PARK, MI (WTVB) – Detroit Lions Kicker Matt Prater has been named NFL Special Teams Player of the Week.
Prater hit all four of his field goal attempts including one from 39-yards as time expired to lift Detroit to a win in Arizona on Sunday.
It’s his 11th special teams player of the week honor and his sixth with the Lions.
The Lions returned to the practice field yesterday as they prepared to host the Saints on Sunday. Safety C.J. Moore did not take part in drills with a calf injury. Tight end Hunter Bryant, defensive lineman Da’Shawn Hand and corner Desmond Trufant were limited during practice with injuries.
