K-Wings sign Bruneteau, grandson of former Red Wing

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo Wings announced the signing of defenseman Nick Bruneteau Thursday.

Bruneteau, 28, spent the last five seasons playing in Europe, including the last three in Italy. Bruneteau’s grandfather Ed spent parts of seven seasons with the NHL’s Detroit Red Wings in the 1940s.

The anticipated start date for the K-Wings season in the ECHL is December 4, 2020, for a full 72-game schedule.
